I was paying $55/year for unlimited backup. I have 400 plus gigs backed up.
Then they take it away and want $110/year for just 125 gigs! I'm not saying thats a bad deal, but compared to what I've had, it SUCKS!"

Advantages are that even if my house were burnt to cinders, I'd still be able to recover, and most backups are quick, unless I've dumped a few hundred new photos or something. It's awesome to know that you're backed up (and happily paying for it), but it sucks when they stick it to you to overnight backup DVDs to you. It's at that point that they should be wowing you... rather than making you bitter about extracting funds (which is exactly when you're considering alternative sources)."

My backup would have been about 300 gigs, I had to space it out over a couple months so Comcast wouldnt shut me down due to their bandwidth limit per months. Before I could even finish my initial backup, i got an email from Mozy stating the new policy. I cancelled immediately. That was 2 months of mozy service wasted... from now on I'm just going to backup with a usb hard drive and pray...."
